  What a rude man the Chief Exec of this paper is.
  
  Having arranged for one of his reporters to visit a struggling Army Cadet detachment is his region to help give them a bit of publicity about recruiting - the reporter did not turn up and didnt ring to cancel either. I understand the press are very busy however upon ringing the following day to ask why they never turned up and if they could rearrange - I was shouted at by the man on the end of the phone claiming to be the chief exec.
  
  I asked to speak to the reporter I had dealt with originally and was denied to be put through, he also refused to take a message saying "if I wanted to talk to them I had to ring back tomorrow, he wasnt about to take messages and start relaying them".
  
  I explained to him that we had arranged a full open night for the reporter and that we had put a huge amount of effort into his visit which I had confirmed with him more than once, and well as giving him mobile details incase there was any issues. I was then told by the Chief Exec that he didnt care and that if I wanted their help "I had to play by their rules or get lost".
  
  At this point I asked him if he was even going to apologise for the inconvenience and he said no I dont apologise, you take what you get and if you dont like it you can get lost. At this poimt I told him he was very rude and this seemed to trigger off his REALLY angry side - he carried on shouting at me until I laughed a little and he hung up.
